Community Cats of…

Before we officially created Cuddly, we created Community Cats of… groups on Facebook.

Chicago is huge. One group for the entire city seemed pointless. Those already existed and, given that it would be rare to find a cat in Hegewisch who had last been seen in Rogers Park because they’re about 30 MILES APART, we decided to get more local! So we started creating community groups. Neighborhoods are paired up, to reduce the sheer number of groups that we manage. Some of those pairings don’t jive with the neighborhood names that the actual residents USE and we try to make those corrections as we are informed. We listen because we can’t be local to every neighborhood!

The original intent of the groups was to create a space for colony caretakers to build a community. That quickly grew into sharing lost/found post from other FB groups and now they help Cuddly help cats of every possible status. Lost, found, caretaker in need of food… anything that comes up, we’re there for them. And you’re invited to join us.

Groups vary in size and new groups are created upon demand. Feel free to demand!
